UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Registration Dates

The NEET PG Counseling 2024 in UP (Uttar Pradesh) is expected to start on August 5, 2024, in online mode on its official website. The Directorate General Medical Education and Training, UP, is authorized to conduct online counseling for MD/MS/DNB Admission 2024 as per the merits of the NEET PG Exam 2024. The applicants should fill out the application form by entering the required details, such as personal and academic details. Those applicants who are seeking admission to MDS programs can fill out the application form only online. A registration form for the counseling will be released on the official website.

UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have qualified NEET-PG-2023/NEET-MDS-2023 entrance examination.
• Candidates who have completed their one year of Compulsory Rotatory Internship on or before by 3ost June 2023 for MDS and 11th August 2023 for MD/MS /Diploma/DNB courses.
• Candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS course from the Govt/Private Medical & Dental Colleges of U.P. are eligible for Government State Quota seats and Private Medical College seats.
• Candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS from AMU, Aligarh & BHU, Varanasi are not eligible for admission in Government State Quota Seats. Such candidates are eligible for admission only in Private Medical & Dental Colleges.
• Candidates who have passed MBBS/BDS from outside of Uttar Pradesh are eligible for admissions only in Private Medical & Dental Colleges/Institutes/Universities.

• A candidate who has already taken admission on the basis of earlier NEET- PG/ NEET- MDS is not eligible for the NEET PG-2023/ NEET MDS-2024 counseling until he/she completes and passes the course where he/she is presently admitted.
• However, such a candidate shall be eligible if he/she has resigned from the said course and his/her resignation has been accepted by the competent authority of the Medical & Dental College/Institutes/Universities and he/she has refunded the salary/stipend received by him/her during the said course along with the fulfillment of the terms and conditions laid down in the format of the Bond of Rs. 5 Lacs at the time of admission.
• Only those NEET qualified PMHS candidates, whose list is provided by Director General Medical & Health under policy framed by Health & Family Welfare Department, are eligible for due weightage as per norms, will be eligible for UP NEET PG / MDS -2024 counselling.
• Foreign Medical Graduates (FMG) & Foreign National Candidates are eligible for UP NEET PG/ MDS -2024 counselling as per eligibility criteria mention in NBE Information Bulletin-2023-point no. 4.10 & 4.11. (Annexure- 5) (Read with Notice Dated 07.02.2023 N.B.E. New Delhi)
• Only In-service candidates are eligible for state quota DNB seats.

UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Reservation Policy

• Reservation will be given as per directions of Government of Uttar Pradesh
vide Govt. Order No.- 1/348793/2023, Dated-13-07-2023.
• Reservation Policy of the State Government for the NEET PG-2024
counselling in Govt State Quota seats is as follows:
Vertical Reservation:
•!• S.C.-21 %
•!• S.T.-2%
•!• O.B.C – 27%
•!• EWS- 10%
Horizontal Reservation:
•!• PwD- 5%
• The list of SC/ST/OBC categories shall be as notified by the Government of Uttar Pradesh as applicable at the time of counselling. (Annexure- 3)
• Reservation of seats under PwD Category is 5% in Government State Quota Seats and the 21 Benchmark Disabilities as envisaged under the regulations of Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act 2016 and as per the NMC norms.
• Candidates who want to avail 5% PwD reservation in PG seats of Govt. medical institutions should obtain Disability certificate as per 21 Benchmark Disabilities given under RPWD Act 2016 and as per NMC norms, from the designated disability centers as per the list enclosed as Annexure- 2.
• The certificate issued by any other hospital/ board will not be accepted.
• There will be no reservation for candidate in Private Medical/Dental colleges.
• There will be reservation for minority in Minority Medical/ Dental Colleges
according to their bylaws.

• Candidates admitted through 15% quota seats of AIQ in M.B.B.S./BDS course in Government Medical Colleges will not be given the benefit of reservation in PG course for state quota seats and they will be considered as unreserved category.
• All certificates related to reservation will be valid only on the format prescribed by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and issued by the competent authority
• For EWS and OBC category, certificates issued only after April 01, 2024 will be valid.
• Apart from Uttar Pradesh, the reserved category candidates of other states
will be considered in the unreserved category.

see Govt. Order No.- 1/348793/2023, Dated-13-07-2023.

UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Registration Process

• Only online registration will be permissible on website https://upneet.govt.in.
• For registration, candidate will use his/her NEET-PG Roll No. & same email ID used by them during registration on NBE website for NEET PG-2024/ NEET MDS-2024 entrance examination and follow instructions on website.
• Candidate’s data at the time of registration on NBE portal will be prepopulated and will be used for counselling purposes.
• Thereafter Registration form will be displayed, candidates have to enter only his/her domicile, category, sub category, In-service (PMHS) employment status and MBBS passed from, address etc.
• Candidate will make payment of Registration fee of Rs. 3,000/- for pt & 2nd round of counselling.
• All eligible candidate requires fresh registration for Mop-up & Stray vacancy round separately with Registration fee of Rs. 2,000/-
• Registration fee is non-refundable.
• After successful submission of registration form, registration number will be generated.
• During Registration process candidates will create a Password for choice filling and locking of the choices.
• Once the registration process is successfully completed candidates will generate Registration form & Registration fee slip.
• Candidates are advised to download their Registration form & Registration fee slip.
• Registration form & Registration fee slip will have to be shown at medical college/Nodal center at the time of admission.
Security Fee:

  1. For Govt. Medical & Dental Colleges/Institutes/ Universities- Rs. 30,000/-
    [Thirty Thousand]
  2. For Pvt. Medical Colleges/Institutes/ Universities- Rs. 2,00,000/- [Two
    Lakhs]
  3. For Pvt. Dental Colleges/Institutes/ Universities- Rs.1,00,000/- [One Lakh]
    • If security fee is not submitted by candidate, then he/she will not be permitted for choice filling.
    • After successful payment download security money receipt for future reference.
    • Receipt of security money will have to be shown at the medical college/Nodal center at the time of admission.

UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Counseling Process

• Merit list for MD/MS/Diploma candidates will be prepared after providing weightage to In-Service (PMHS) candidates as per the provisions of Govt. Order No.I/348793/2023, Dated-13-07-2023.
• It is advised that before choice filling candidates independently gather information about Private colleges in which he/she wish to take admission.

Online Choice filling:
• For choice filing visit website https:/lupneet.gov.in and login by using NEET Roll number and Password created at the time of registration.
• You can change your choice until the final locking.
• Choice filing will not complete till candidates finally submit and lock their choices within scheduled time.
• Choice Locking is compulsory, if not locked then online allotment will not occur.
• No changes will be permissible after locking the choice.

UP NEET PG Counseling 2024: Admission Process

• Candidates have to complete their admission Process including fees deposition at allotted Medical & Dental Colleges/ Nodal center mentioned in allotment letter.
• It will be mandatory for the candidates allotted seats in Private Medical & Dental College/Institute/University (except minority Institutions) to deposit the tuition fee fixed by the government at the time of admission. In minority Colleges/Institutions, it will be mandatory for the candidates to deposit the tuition fee prescribed by the respective Colleges/Institutes.
• If candidate does not take admission to the allotted seat by the due date, he/she shall forfeit any right of admission on the basis of said counseling/allotment.
• Candidates who fail to produce required original documents at the time of admission or if any concealment or falsification of facts comes to the light at the time of admission or thereafter during the academic sessions, it will make the candidate lose his/her candidature and he/she would be subjected to legal action.
• Bond will be made to the effect that in-case student leaves the Government Medical/Dental College seat after the 2nd counseling, or at any time during the course of study, then the candidate will deposit an amount of Rs 5,00,000/- (Five lakhs) as per Govt. Bond.

Following documents in original and one set self-attested photocopy will be
deposited for admission:

  1. Copy of Allotment letter
  2. Admit Card of NEET PG-2024/ NEET MDS-2024
  3. Registration slip and Security Fees slip
  4. High School Marksheet and Certificate (as proof of date of birth)
  5. Intermediate Marksheet and Certificate
  6. Mark sheets of all professional examinations
  7. MBBS/BDS passing out certificate or degree.
  8. Compulsory Rotatory Internship completion certificate
  9. Permanent Registration Certificate (State Medical council /MCI/DC!)
  10. Employers NOC certificate, if employed
  11. Reservation certificate (SC/ST /OBC/EWS/PwD certificate), if applicable.
